"GenZ weaves ZenG" is a communication and artistic creation project, carried out by a group of students majoring in Multimedia Management, FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City, launched on May 18 in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City. With the message "From textile fibers to digital streaks", the project aims to support the preservation and development of Ta Oi ethnic culture in Thua Thien Hue province.
A Luoi's Zeng weaving craft has been included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, but is not yet interested and known by many young people, and may face the risk of being lost in the future. hybrid. The project team "GenZ weaving ZenG" is one of the pioneering groups of GenZ students to preserve, preserve and develop the Zeng weaving culture of the Ta Oi ethnic group through the application of digital technology and media. The project "GenZ weaves ZenG" is implemented with the purpose of preserving cultural heritage and increasing young people's awareness of Zeng. Besides, along with many outstanding activities, the project will aim to encourage the young generation to learn about Zeng culture in particular and Vietnamese cultural heritage in general.
With the main message "From weaving yarn to digital streak", the project includes 3 main stages: GenZ describes ZenG, GenZ weaves ZenG and GenZ radiates ZenG. The beginning of the project is the stories "describing" Zeng exploited through the words of local people along with many valuable and interesting information surrounding this traditional weaving culture. Thereby, demonstrating the mission and goals of the project, increasing awareness and attracting the attention of young people.
Included in the main series of activities of the project is the digital exhibition "GenZ weaving ZenG". At the exhibition, Zeng patterns will be displayed digitized through different forms, bringing a realistic artistic experience to viewers.
And at the final stage of "GenZ spread Zeng", a digital creativity camp was organized to encourage and motivate young people to preserve and spread culture, through research actions and digital application of patterns. Content creation camp is an opportunity for those who love creativity, culture, and art to experience cultural digitization through digital modules and application to brand identity in online form. From there, you can apply it practically and contribute to the mission of preserving culture through the products you complete.
